The calendar and the weather matched up quite well today. It definitely felt like the first day of spring. That's never a guarantee here in Colorado, where it is just as likely to snow this time of year.
I took advantage of the 70-degree day to enjoy a walk in the nearby open space. I have really been enjoying getting out for walks again lately. For a while it was something I rarely did because of foot pain. As that has been improving, I've realized how much I missed strolling outside.
It's so refreshing and energy-giving to step away from work or household tasks and spend some time outside. And yet it can be so easy for me to feel like I don't have the time. I've been trying to be much more intentional about making time for walks lately.
The signs of spring were all around me. It's always an exhilarating time of year as I discover the first hints of renewal in nature. It makes me dream of new possibilities in all areas of my life.
How did you spend this first day of spring?
